ACCAN remains concerned about how DTE Energy clears and remediates the Shenango Coke Works sites, since these activities can release pollutants into the air and water. The Coke Works buildings contain asbestos and the soil contains still to be identified pollutants. Posting these post closure photos on this channel is one way that we continue to monitor activities on the site.
